Refunds

All entries into the Sussan Women’s Fun Run are non refundable. However, at the discretion of SuperSprint, if a participant has an illness or injury and can provide a valid medical certificate which deems them incapable of participating in the event by 5pm Friday 5th November 2011, 30 days prior to the event, they may be eligible for a refund of their entry fee less a $15 administration fee.

Requests for refunds on the grounds of injury or illness after this time and date will not be eligible for a refund however participants will still be eligible to receive their commemorative t-shirt.

Refunds or partial refunds will not be issued if the planned format or distances of the event are altered in the interest of competitor safety due to prevailing weather conditions, unless the competitor has taken out the Race Cancellation Refund Levy.

Transfers

All entries into the Sussan Women’s Fun Run are non transferable. Entries can not be transferred to another person nor can they be carried forward to any other SuperSprint event.

Race Cancellation Refund Levy

SuperSprint’s Event Cancellation Refund Levy is an optional levy participants may choose to take out in order to secure a refund of their entry fee in the unlikely situation of event cancellation. In the case of nearly all triathlon events around the world, if the event is cancelled on the event weekend, competitors are not entitled to a refund, as the event costs are similar regardless of whether the event goes ahead.

Participants who opt to pay the Event Cancellation Refund Levy will be entitled to a full refund of their event fee only if they are unable to complete the race, in its original or altered format, due to full cancellation by SuperSprint. The Race Cancellation Refund Levy will not be refunded nor will any additional costs incurred by the participant.

The cost of the Event Cancellation Refund Levy is $5.

The Event Cancellation Refund Levy must be paid by 5pm on Friday, nine (9) days prior to the event date. After this date participants do not have the option to take out the Event Cancellation Refund Levy.

Lost Timing Bands

Timing bands are expensive pieces of equipment. Once collected at registration they become the responsibility of competitors.

Competitors are encouraged to test the strap of their timing before beginning their race. If a competitor believes there is something wrong with the band or that it is faulty it is the responsibility of the competitor to notify registration/timing prior to race so that a replacement band can be issued. There is no charge for issuing a replacement band prior to the race if the competitor believes it to be faulty.

Competitors who lose timing bands before, during or after the race will be liable for the cost of a replacement band ($50) regardless of the circumstances in which the band was lost. No exceptions will be granted in relation to this issue.

Competitors who lose their timing band and fail to pay the timing band replacement fee will be ineligible to compete in the 2011 Sussan Women’s Fun Run.

Switching between distances
Competitors wishing to switch between events are able to do so up until 5pm on Friday, nine (9) days prior to the event date. Competitors wishing to change after this date will be charged a $10 administration fee. Transfers will not be granted after Friday two (2) days prior to the event.
