Race 1 - St. Kilda
Race Director's Report
Dear Competitor,
Congratulations to all finishers! We hope you enjoyed the event! It was disappointing to not have the swim! We don't like to cancel the swim but ultimately we have a duty of care to all our athletes and must follow EPA guidelines.
This season we have introduced a new initiative, where if we have a cancelled swim we will have Elwood Lifesaving Club provide a supervised swim for both Active Feet and Gatorade participants on Thursday night at 6:30pm.
More details following this letter. Congratulations to Peter Kerr and Erin Densham for their wins and to all the age group winners. A special congratulations to all the first timers and Active Feet Fun Tri competitors!
It was great to see the sun come out and the tremendous atmosphere at the finish! While we were pleased overall with the event, we were extremely disappointed to be let down by two marshal groups (30 people) that we pay that didn't show, meaning we had to take marshals from the venue to put on the cycle course. Thanks to Tri Alliance and several triathlon clubs for helping out! This meant the normal speedy service we provide at Registration and number writing was compromised. We do apologise for this and ensure it won't happen again.

We look forward to seeing you at Race 2 at Elwood on the 11th December where we celebrate with Christmas festivities.
All the best for you training
Kind Regards
David Hansen
