2XU Great Ocean & Otway Classic Ride 2012

Welcome

The 2XU Great Ocean & Otway Classic Ride 2012 is back again for another amazing day of riding along Victoria's world famous Great Ocean Road, for what is one of Australia's Premier Recreational Rides, attracting over 300 interstate participants. The most significant improvement for the 2012 event is the plan to have road closures of the inland roads ( approximately 75km) leading to Lorne plus an extension of the Deans Marsh to Lorne road closure from 2 hours to 3 hours.

Starting in Torquay, the ride will take riders through the towns of Moriac and Deans Marsh, before taking riders up and over the Otway Ranges and into Lorne. From there, riders will then make their way back to Torquay along the Great Ocean Road, moving through the townships of Airey's Inlet and Anglesea.

The date of this spectacular recreational Ride will be the 24th March 2012.

There are two rides available, a 145km or 60km option.  All participants in the ride will receive the Official Event Jersey from 2XU, which is compulsory to wear during the ride.

All entries received prior to 30th November 2011 will receive their jersey and event kit prior to Christmas!

Entries are limited, with a field capacity of 3,500 riders over the 2 events.  This event has reached capacity for the last 3 years running so be sure to get your entry in early!!
