XTERRA Australia is fast approaching and we are pleased that we have already received over 300 entries. A star studded field including Olivier Marceau (SUI) 2nd in the 2007 XTERRA World Championships, Seth Wealing US XTERRA Champion, Andrew Noble, local favourites Luke Bell and Leon Griffin will battle it out for the US$10,000 prize money!
It is also pleasing to see many newcomers to XTERRA who will no doubt experience why it is the World's most popular adventure series. Support events include XTERRA Sprint Tri, XTERRA MTB and Trail Runs.
There is a clinic and tour of the course at Daylesford on 22 March with Tri-Alliance. Don't miss out on the new challenge and new experience!

XTERRA Training Clinic

After a successful training clinic in Lysterfield on February 23rd covering both Mountain Biking and Trail Running, Tri Alliance will be running its 2nd XTERRA Training Clinic in Daylesford! The clinic will teach you all you need to know about mountain bike riding, trail running and familiarisation with the course. Course: The MTB course will be marked in time for the XTERRA Training Clinic allowing competitors to ride over parts of the MTB course. When: Saturday the 22nd of March Time: 2:30pm for a 1.5 to 2hr session based on numbers. A NOBLE TRIP TO SAIPAN, GUAM & AUSTRALIAFormer World Duathlon Champion, turned XTERRA Pro Andrew Noble - the ageless wonder (42) who just keeps getting faster - is about to embark on a month-long, season starting adventure that will take him from the East Coast to the remote island of Saipan in the middle of the Western Pacific then down under to southern Australia. Noble's Schedule:
Last year Noble placed third at XTERRA Saipan and won the Tagaman triathlon a week later to claim the Pacific Islands Club Double Award for having the fastest combined times in the two events (which earned him a week at the luxury hotel for this year). Noble went on to have a remarkable season in the XTERRA U.S. Pro Series by finishing 3rd at the West Champs in Temecula, CA, runner-up at the Southeast Champs in Pelham, AL, and 3rd at the USA Champs in Nevada. |

BMC 100km Classic

The inaugural BMC 100km Classic will be staged from the picturesque Cammeray Waters at Woodend in Victoria on 20th April 2008. The course will take riders on a journey across a variety of terrain with a mix of fast fire trail, forest riding and up to 50% technical and flowing single track. Riders can look forward to some scenic riding through the eucalypt and pine forests of the Wombat State Forest. Ride the full 100km or the 50km half course. Race organisers have also created a special junior category for boys and girls under the age of 16yrs. Participants in this category will ride one loop of the 18km "wombat track" with a series of berms, drops and single track fun - a great introduction to mountain biking! Entries are now open! |
