Hi
Congratulations to all participants on another hugely successful Sussan Women's Fun Run! Catani Gardens in St Kilda turned on some beautiful weather to welcome almost 4000 women over the finish line, most of them proudly wearing their event t-shirt.
We are looking forward to another big event in 2008, incorporating the SUB Women's Cycle Challenge and we hope to see you there!

Race Director's Report
|
|
Congratulations to all finishers! We hope you had a great race and enjoyed the event. The heat and wind certainly provided an extra challenge to both competitors and us as organisers. The Sussan Women's Fun Run event weekend this year also included the inaugural SUB Women’s Cycle Challenge so we had over 4500 women take part over the course of the weekend. The Sussan Women's Fun Run is one of our favourite events for the season because of the friendly nature and fun attitude of all the participants – smiling faces, mothers and daughters, friends and happiness! Well done to Josie Carberry who won the 10km event and Camilla Whishaw who won the 5km event, along with all category winners and first timers. We hope you liked this year’s improvements including using both sides of Beach Road, the new venue layout, the race kits and the finishers' certificate. Next year we may look at starting the events 30mins earlier to minimise the heat, as hot days seem to be more common every year! Thank you for supporting the event. All the best for your training and we hope to see you again in one of our future events. Sincerely, David Hansen |

Breast Cancer Network Australia (BCNA) would like to thank all those who donated to BCNA when registering to take part in the Sussan Women’s Fun Run. Thank you also goes to the participants who visited the BCNA stand at the event site and took the opportunity to purchase some BCNA ‘Pink Lady’ merchandise. We hope you’ve taken the time to read the brochure about the work that we do which was included in your goody bag. This brochure has some very important information about the way that you can support a woman close to you when she is diagnosed with breast cancer. If you would like to continue your support or learn more about BCNA please visit our website www.bcna.org.au. Or you can visit your local Sussan store and purchase a Pink Lady badge for $5.
