The first race of the NISSAN/BRW Corporate Triathlon National Series kicks off in Melbourne in less than a month!

With record popularity, only a few entries remain for Perth, Adelaide, Gold Coast and Sydney, so don't delay and get your team entry in now to avoid disappointment.

Excitement is building amongst competitors all around Australia with teams well into their training programs, with SCODY and 2XU company uniforms, marquees and catering all being organised!

Pre Event Mailouts

Race Day Information Booklet (e-booklet)

The distribution of the new, innovative, electronic Race Day Information Booklet containing important information on the event and race kit collection has commenced. All participants in Melbourne and Perth should have received this email; with Adelaide, Sydney and the Gold Coast to be emailed out in the coming weeks.

Electronic Registration cards (e-rego card)

This year, the electronic registration card will be emailed out to the team captain - this is used to collect your teams' race kit and showbags at registration (unless selected courier option - see below for details.)

 

Couriered Race Kits - Saturday Only Registration

Gold Coast and Perth Teams

Registration (Race Kit pick up) for the Gold Coast and Perth events will be on the Saturday prior to race day only! (Race Kits are NOT able to be collected on race day!)

Perth: Saturday 7th March 1pm to 4pm

Gold Coast: Saturday 25th April 12pm to 3pm

There is however the option to courier your race kits during the online entry process at an additional fee for $25 per team. A great way to save time and distribute race items to each team member prior to the event weekend.

Perth and Gold Coast Teams who have already entered can still add the Courier Option - contact SuperSprint at entries@supersprint.com.au by Friday 13th February.

Sydney Teams

Race Kits (including race kit items, showbag's and t-shirts) will be couriered to ALL Sydney teams (included in the entry fee).

 

Please ensure that your business street address details are up to date in each Team Captain profile, including company name and building level - No PO boxes - By Friday 13th February.

Kits will be delivered during business hours in the week prior to the event.

Melbourne Registration Details

Teams need to collect their Race Kit and showbags, on Saturday 28th February at the race venue (using the e-rego card sent to the Team Captains 2 weeks out from the event):

10am - 12:30: Male and Informal Teams

12:30 to 3pm: Female and Mixed Teams

*Please remember that all bikes are to be placed in the bike compound on Saturday during the above times. NO BIKES WILL BE PERMITTED ON SUNDAY!

Confirming Your Team Entries

Team Captains who have successfully secured their team's place into the NISSAN/BRW Corporate Triathlon National Series 2009, will need to remind team members to confirm their entry online through the email link you sent to them.

All team members (including the team captain) must accept the invitation sent to them via email or their team will be withdrawn!

Important Team Information

3 Competitors Per Team

Teams competing in any of the corporate categories must comprise 3 bona-fide full-time employees of the corporate group or organisation being represented.

Category and Team Member Changes

Category and Team Member changes may take place up 2 weeks prior to the race. This can be done online by the team captain by canceling an 'email invite' and re-inviting the new team member.

Please Note:
NO changes will be made after this deadline!
Under the circumstance where a team member is ill and unable to participate on the day, due to insurance purposes*, a medical certificate must be provided and a $10 administration fee applied IF you require a name change under 2 weeks out.

*Insurance only covers the nominated competitor, therefore an official 'name change' as stated above must take place if you are replacing a team member.

Melbourne Corporate Qualifier

If you missed out on a place in the Melbourne leg of the NISSAN/BRW Corporate Triathlon National Series 2009, you could still claim a place through the Corporate Qualifier!

Corporate Qualifier

There will be a Corporate Qualifier held in conjunction with Race 5 of the Gatorade Triathlon Series:

When: Sunday 15th February 2009

Cost: $150 per team of 3

Format: Team time is an aggregate of all 3 individuals who'll compete together in the same wave. It is not a relay format.

How: The top 30 teams will qualify to enter the Melbourne NISSAN/BRW Corporate Triathlon National Series 2009 event. This will be allocated across the categories - Male, Female and Mixed.

Enter: the 'Corporate Qualifier' event online at SuperSprint. Entries are NOW OPEN! Entries will close 12noon on Friday 13th February 2009!

Major Improvement for Gold Coast Traffic Management

SuperSprint have finalised details with the Gold Coast City Council and Queensland Transport regarding the implementation of a traffic management plan that will eleviate the traffic congestion experienced by some competitors when leaving the 2008 event.

SuperSprint have arranged for the traffic lights sequence to be extended at the Gold Coast Hwy to permit a greater flow of traffic off The Spit.

Marquees and Catering

Marquees are an exclusive place for your team to relax, cool down and talk about the event, grab a massage, or indulge in a post-event food and drink feast!

Participating companies in all states are given the opportunity to hire a marquee for the NISSAN/BRW Corporate Triathlon National Series 2009, based on a "first in, best dressed" basis via the official hire companies.

Is your company not quite large enough to fill out a marquee…. or the boss is wanting to reduce expenses this year? Then why not share a marquee site with another company. Share packages are available on request.

WIN a Boardroom Lunch

All Supersite Marquee Holders existing and new bookings will go into the draw to WIN a complimentary boardroom lunch for 10 guests (provided by Fred & Ginger Catering) if a Supersite is booked prior to February 6th 2009.

Marquee and catering bookings open from 27th November 12pm (Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide), and 22nd January 12pm (Sydney, Gold Coast)

Melbourne and Sydney events can reach capacity very quickly once bookings have opened. There are a handful of sites available in Melbourne, so please contact Fred and Ginger promptly to avoid missing out.  Please note marquee’s MUST be hired through the official marquee providers.

Venue and permit restrictions do not allow private tents or marquees.

Official Event Charity - Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation

The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) is the official charity partner for this year’s series and you have the opportunity to support JDRF when you register for the event.

JDRF raises funds for medical research to find a cure for type 1 diabetes, a disease impacting over 140,000 people in Australia.

Over 2000 new cases are diagnosed every year; many of these are in young children. Whilst people with type 1 diabetes have to inject themselves with insulin up to 8 times a day, insulin is NOT a cure, merely a means of staying alive.

Even with insulin, people with type 1 diabetes face a lifelong risk of health complications such as blindness, kidney failure, heart disease and limb amputation.
